CONFERENCE VENUE

The conference will take place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.
Located next to the aquarium Nausicaa and the fishing harbour, the conference venue will enable the participants to discover the most popular tourist sights in the area.
Boulogne-sur-Mer, the biggest fishing port in France, assembles the whole fishing industry from the fisherman to the fish processor. With its fleet of trawlers and coastline gillnetters and 70 different species landed every day, Boulogne-sur-Mer is one of the biggest seafood processing platform in Europe.

Boulogne-sur-mer is located in the heart of Europe, in Pas-de-Calais, close to United Kingdom and Belgium and just 2.5 hours from Paris, London and Brussels.

BY CAR
JUST 2½ HOURS FROM PARIS, LONDON AND BRUSSELS VIA THE A16 MOTORWAY.
When arriving at Boulogne-sur-Mer, take exit 29 (Boulogne-Port) or exit 32 (Boulogne-Nord – Nausicaá). Then follow directions to
Nausicaá.

From the Paris Gare du Nord, Lille and Brussels Midi stations, and even by Eurostar via Calais Fréthun.

The SNCF Boulogne City station is 30 minutes’ walk from the aquarium and 10 minutes away by bus on line F.

From the centre of Boulogne-sur-Mer or the SNCF train station, take line F to “Baston”, then disembark at the “Nausicaá” stop.

SOCIAL EVENT VENUE

On Wednesday 29th of April, the participants will have the opportunity to visit Nausicaá, the biggest aquarium in Europe.
Nausicaá is a unique centre for the discovery of the marine environment, focusing mainly on the relationship between mankind and the sea.
​
In May 2018, Nausicaá unveiled a new exhibition space dedicated to the High Seas. Created around a massive tank recreating the ecosystem of the open sea, this new immersive experience takes visitors to one of our planet’s last unchartered territories.
